ORGANIZATIONS

National Wildlife Federation - www.nwf.org

Started in 1936, the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) is an organization founded to create interest and promote public education about conservation of wildlife and habitats. The organization works on saving wildlife and its habitats, finding solutions to the climate crisis, getting kids involved in nature, and many other projects.

Check out the section of the website for kids that has outdoor adventure ideas, crafts, games and recipes, as well as cool projects like how to keep a nature journal or build a fairy house.

To download the NWF's gardening guide for kids containing step-by-step instructions on gardening, plus fun projects such as growing a sunflower house, a pizza garden, initials, or a rainbow, directions for testing soil pH and for making a mud volcano, click here.
